Testimonials

Alka Resident

“When I started looking for an old age home I did a lot of research. I looked at various places in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. When I came across MatruSadan I felt it was the best option. In no other old age home does one get a self-contained room with attached toilet and bath facility which allows for independent living and privacy. At the same time one has the benefit of being part of the community. Along with accommodation it also provides facilities as food, electricity and water all at a VERY REASONABLE COST. I was feeling depressed before I came here. Now wit the friends I have made here and the events that are organized I feel refreshed and energised. I would recommend MatruSadan to all aged woman as a welcome space to spend your old age”

Leela KhatriAge 92, Staying since Feb 2012

“When my husband died at the age of 94, felt very insecure as to how I would spend the rest of my life. I was 92. I am grateful to my grandson Ajay who introduced me to MatruSadan. The initial few months I had difficulty settling in, but now I feel content and safe here. I am fortunate to get a very good day companion Vijeya who looks after me like her own mother. The cost of the old age home fits into my monthly family pension, which I get from the Railways after my husband death. Therefore I do not have to depend on anybody for my finances. I am lucky to find MatruSadan at this stage of my life.

Ajay Kalra, Management Consultant, LeelaKhatri’s Grandson and Gaurdian

“I am really grateful for having found MatruSadan when my grandmother needed it the most. She has been like my mother and brought me up so I am very attached to her. It was important that she spend the rest of her life in a safe, hygienic and loving environment, with easy access to medical care. MatruSadan provides all these facilities and much more. The Trustees take active interest in the running of the home and are personally involved in resolving the issues of the residents. Most of all MatruSadan provides facilities at a very reasonable cost. I would like to thank all members of the MatruSadan Team for making it a place where old women can feel safe, cared for and looked after.”

Sylvia D'souza,

I had visited many homes, but always came back disappointed. There was always something lacking in every home, which made me confused, till someone told me about Matru Sadan Home in Nerul. Immediately I came to this place and saw that the building was getting ready. It was Shri Sanchet, the Civil Engineer who gave me the details and asked me to approach Dr. Madam Sobti. Well Dr. Sobti was kind and helpful. As the home was under construction, I waited but visited my future home often, where I met the other Trustees, who were equally loving and Helpful and I felt quiet happy and at ease. The Opening was done by Shri Hashu Advani(Minister for Finance Maharashtra) and Actress Jaya Bachhan and the opening speech was given by Smt. Kamini Bhatija. Thus I joined this home with the blessings and good wishes of our Parish Priest, Her Highness Madam Bosle the Maharani of Savantwadi and Shri Chembulkar the Mayor of Bombay. I am very glad to be part of this home now.
